Five automotive events for gearheads and family fun in the USA and UAE to round off 2023’s car season

The automotive events season is beginning to slow down as we near the end of 2023. We’ve already been spoilt for choice and have seen a spectacular line-up of auto shows come and go. But, before we hibernate for the winter, the team at Marc Brunel Recruitment has suggested some car shows and automotive events that are still to come in the USA and UAE, which can give the 2023 car season a proper send-off. To welcome the autumn season, here are our top five auto events to satisfy your last fill of cars galore for 2023.

First up, The State Fair of Texas. Known for its wide selection of good food, and the 55-foot tall “Big Tex” statue, the Fair simultaneously happens alongside the Texas Auto Show and attracts manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Jeep, and Ram to name a few, that will be there to showcase their best. The Texas Auto Show guarantees an experience with previews of the latest trucks and SUVs that will be making their debut in America in 2024 and will be taking place from 29 September to 22 October. With plenty to see and do at this annual celebration that brings people together for a world-class auto show and the country’s largest fair, no further excuse is necessary to plan a trip to visit the second-largest state in the U.S.

Staying in America but veering further West to Nevada is the legendary car show FuelFest, which takes place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Occurring for its second year in Las Vegas, FuelFest promises a weekend of drifting competitions, film cars, and live musical performances and featured over 500 rare cars from around the world at its debut in 2022. From modified to exotic, Electric Vehicles (EVs) to Japanese Domestic Market (JDMs) types, FuelFest has the schedule set for any car lover to get the most out of their experience. In addition, there will also be drag racing competitions and interactive sponsor exhibits to whet the appetite of any enthusiast. FuelFest will take place on 6 and 7 October and promises special guests from the Fast n Furious franchise, plus guest pro drivers all packed in for the two–day event.

From 19 to 22 October, The Auto Moto show is the biggest event in the UAE capital and covers everything from brand-new motorbikes to modified cars. This auto exhibition in Abu Dhabi offers a wide range of show sections, bringing local and international manufacturing companies together, and allowing for the show to be a mecca for car, motorbike, and UTV buggy lovers. The largest exhibition of its kind in the region, the event is dedicated to becoming a platform for developing, enhancing, and promoting the latest technologies in the automotive and motorbikes sectors, and will offer a selection of activities throughout.

For the gearheads that love variety, Automadness Dubai is a show not to be missed. On 4 and 5 November, Auto Madness Dubai is a new public car festival that will be showcasing the pillars of automotive genres. From super and hypercars to JDMs and custom cars, as well as exclusive, performance and muscle cars, these event specialists regularly attract over 300,000 visitors to their European supercar events and are now focusing on uniting the car culture in Dubai. The event will also feature live music, drifting and drag racing, supercar parades, and exhibitors from the automotive and fashion scene. You can expect to see plenty of Camaros, Dodges, and Mustangs, and an all-American show paddock.

The next event is a call to all Formula One race fans old and new. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be debuting the Las Vegas Street Circuit for the first time in Formula One since the 1980s, and we can’t wait! On 18 November this year, the Las Vegas Street Circuit will be filled with F1 fans, journalists, and spectators from all over the world. F1 races in the US have been gathering momentum over the past few years, and the addition of Las Vegas as a race destination, together with Miami and Texas, further bolsters the F1 calendar and creates a weekend many race attendees will be sure to remember! This F1 race will also be the second to last grand prix for 2023, so get set and mark your calendars, because this event will be unforgettable.
