2022 has been our best year in business yet. What have we learned, and what does 2023 have in store?
Happy New Year and welcome back after the holidays! Following a record-breaking 2022 for the Marc Brunel Recruitment business, the team’s been reminiscing about what it has accomplished and looking forward to all our firm can achieve in 2023 and beyond. From launching in the USA and UAE and strengthening the reputation of classic cars in the modern-day (with the environmental crisis putting pressure on the industry) to finding a plethora of automotive firms their dream candidates to offering job seekers their perfect roles, we couldn’t have done it without the support of the team but also our amazing clients and candidates. However, 2023 has the makings to be even more special!
Undoubtedly our most influential and successful accomplishment of 2022 was our expansion into the USA and UAE. This international journey increased our reach, helping us connect automotive candidates and clients from around the world so they can find exactly what they need, whether it be their dream role or dream employee, especially after a slow and difficult time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Launching our services internationally, which had solely been in the UK since 2016, was essential to support the automotive industry even further, and more importantly, the hardworking candidates in it. After honing our skills through working with a range of car-related firms in the UK, we can now create impressive new opportunities overseas for a wider range of candidates, and we’re able to support a much larger span of clients in the USA, UAE and beyond.
Aside from our global expansion, one of our main missions of the year was to help prepare classic car firms for the future and strengthen their position in the market. Whether the firms are electric vehicle (EV) conversion specialists or restoration companies, it is important to us that classic cars remain relevant, especially at a time when taking care of our planet is becoming more and more important. One of the ways we tried to help was by researching how daily driving classics can be more sustainable than commuting in brand-new cars (many of which are EVs) through the use of production statistics. By matching these classic car-related companies with talented candidates, the sustainability of heritage vehicles is known to a wider audience and firms have thrived, even in the difficult modern-day classic car market.
One of the companies that we have supported with skilful, compatible candidates is Lunaz, an industry-leading electric vehicle conversion company, with roles such as research and development / homologation experts, auto electricians and low voltage technicians filled by our team. We also supported the renowned Aston Martin specialist, Nicholas Mee & Co, by finding automotive aficionados that were looking to delve deeper into the technical world of the prestigious marque. We look forward to continuing our work with these two impressive companies throughout 2023.
Another way we assisted the automotive-focused recruitment industry is through our advocacy for the importance of apprentices and apprenticeship schemes. Through our dedication to finding passionate workers that are excited to learn and grow their skill sets, we supported people looking for their place in the working automotive world. In 2023, we will continue to aid apprentices in finding roles that help them gain valuable experience in ‘real-life’ settings, and, through doing so, assist companies to find motivated employees that strive for perfection and are eager to put their learned techniques to good use.
These are just a few of our endeavours as a lot of our work for clients is confidential. One element that remains throughout all that we do at Marc Brunel Recruitment is our passion to provide opportunities for candidates and clients alike in the automotive world, whether they are just starting out or have plenty of experience in the industry. Our international launch has played a large role in helping us achieve this and our reach to people in all different situations, with varying levels of knowledge, on a large scale.
Whether you own a historic motorsport firm, private collection or classic car restoration company, we’re here to help with finding talented and aspirational candidates that are willing to relocate and learn new trade skills. Whether they are perfect for the job from the start, with tons of experience and knowledge in the specialist field, or are ready to learn, our aim is to support clients in their time-consuming search for the perfect candidates and help people achieve their career goals in the process.
We have so much fun looking at trends in the automotive industry, expressing our views and weighing up relevant debates in our monthly blog and, by doing so, communicating with like-minded automotive enthusiasts. We’re here for you just as we were in 2022, and we can’t wait to meet new driven people in the year to come. We hope you have an amazing 2023 and look forward to seeing your career or business succeed!
